Caring for your jewellery
Sterling silver loves being worn! It’s durable and keeps its shine if it’s treated well. It is a soft metal though, so can tarnish and discolour if it comes into contact with chemicals – most notably, keep it away from perfume, hairspray and chlorine. Buffing it with a soft cloth will usually get it gleaming again in seconds.
If your piece contains organics like pearl or amber, then the same rules apply regarding chemicals – they’re both very porous so really soak in those nasties. With amber, you can shine it up again using olive oil (yes, really!).
If you’ve purchased a semi-precious stone piece, then we have a Sprite Tip for you too – in time, the stone may dull a little, but you can bring it back to life by cleaning it (especially the underside) with an old toothbrush and some water. Watch it sparkle once again – it’ll be good as new in no time at all.
Returns policy
We want you to adore your purchase, but if for any reason you’ve changed your mind, we offer a 30 day no-quibble returns policy for a full refund. Sadly this doesn’t cover earrings due to hygiene reasons.
