Moonstone is a member of the feldspar family, known for an iridescence that shows when tilted to the light. Feldspars are calcium, sodium, or potassium aluminium silicates.
Traces of led and water are what create the beautiful colourplay – that’s the alternating layers of albite and orthoclase feldspar dancing in the light.
PHYSICAL & EMOTIONAL BENEFITS
Emotionally it is said to be a good emotional balancer.
It’s associated with women and their menstrual cycles, of course as it’s ruled by the moon.
It was once considered a cure for lunacy.
In India it’s a lucky gem, given from a groom to a bride at their wedding.
