Stone Guide
A guide to some of our most popular crystals & semi-precious stones, which feature in both our Rainbow Brights jewellery collection, and our Crystal Clear range of beautiful crystals

Amber
A translucent gold colour, resembling marmalade or honey. But it can also come in green, milky, cherry or lemon varieties.

Amethyst
Generally a rich, regal purple but can also have a paler lilac tone or something close to pink in Rose De France Amethyst. Its light sage green sister is called Prasiolite.

Citrine
A pale watery shade of yellow, generally transparent.

Garnet
Generally a rich dark plum or deep red tone, although orange and green garnet also exists.

Labradorite
A true chameleon, it can be a grey-sage tone with colour shoots, or a vibrant blue resembling a peacock’s feathers.

Moonstone
Moonstone comes in three varieties – Indian Moonstone which resembles a crystal ball with a cloudy look, Blue Moonstone which is also cloudy but with a pretty blue tint, and Rainbow Moonstone which is similar to an opal with the shoots of baby blue, yellow, green & pink in it.

Peridot
A translucent lime green stone, often with exceptional brilliance when faceted.

Rose Quartz
Normally a pastel pink colour, but can be more vibrant or a dusty tone.

Topaz
Like quartz, topaz comes in many colours.

Turquoise
A bright vivid sky blue, often with white or black veins, or gold speckles.

Zircon
Resembles a diamond when faceted (see our blog to learn all about the difference).
We love crystals for many reasons, and sit with many who believe in their powers to help us physically and emotionally. However, we accept no responsibility for any of the information listed above. If you buy a rose quartz and don’t meet your Prince Charming, don’t come looking for us!
